Water is essential for the mining industry. It is used in various activities associated with the extraction phases: ore processing, dust control, sludge transportation, as well as employees’ needs. A Water treatment plant is needed to manage its wastewater and process residue to comply with the local Environmental Protection Agency’s requirements for discharge into the ecosystem.
Stephen Narh Wayoe, WEC’s CEO, said, “The company is delighted to have been awarded this SMPP installation contract. The contract is an exciting opportunity for WEC and the confirmation of being the Trusted Partner in Engineered Project Solutions. The scope involves the on-site fabrication and installation of free-issued HDPE piping and installation of structural steelwork, mechanical equipment, piping & platework.
Dr. Stephen Narh Wayoe, Founder and CEO of Wayoe Engineering and Construction Limited (WEC), was named ‘the Most Respected CEO in the Western Region’ at the Ghana Industry CEO Awards on the 27th November 2021.
WEC has been awarded a contract for the SLS Infrastructure Project in Ghana for the supply and installation of Structural Steelwork, Mechanical Equipment, Piping & Platework (SMPP) project by DRA Global for Newmont Ahafo Mine.
We are pleased to announce that DRA Global has awarded Wayoe Engineering and Construction Limited (WEC), a wholly Ghanaian-owned Engineering and Construction company, the SMPP installation contract for the Water Treatment Plant for Newmont Akyem Mine.
On the 23rd of July, Wayoe Engineering and Construction Limited led by the CSR Chairperson, Dr. Mrs. Sarah Liki Wayoe donated items to support education and livelihood.
