Executive Management

Dr. Stephen Narh Wayoe

Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Stephen, the founder of WEC, has held various important roles in the company since its establishment. He currently serves as the CEO, but his career began as a fabricator and welder. Over the last two decades, Dr. Stephen has gained vast expertise in the engineering and construction industries, making him a well-known figure in the field. He is also a skilled company development strategist who analyses client satisfaction and market dynamics to develop innovative solutions. Under his leadership, WEC has grown rapidly to become one of the leading players in Africa’s mining and oil and gas sectors

With offices registered in ten countries across the continent, WEC has safely delivered quality projects to multinationals, including Newmont Goldcorp, Goldfields Ghana, Perseus Mining, AngloGold Ashanti Ghana Limited, Tullow Ghana Limited, MODEC, Ghana National Gas, DRA Global Ghana Limited, Lycopodium Ghana Limited, Sierra Rutile Sierra Leone, Banro Corporation, and others, since its re-registration as a limited liability company in 2012.

Dr. Sarah Liki Wayoe

Executive Director – Finance & Administration

Dr. Sarah, the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, utilises her extensive financial leadership experience to make informed decisions and collaborate with strategic finance partners. Her expertise is integral to propelling WEC beyond customer expectations and toward becoming an industry innovator.

Dr. Sarah holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Finance and Investment and is also the founder of the Wayoe Workers’ Wives’ Association (WWWA), an organisation dedicated to empowering and educating the wives of WEC workers. Her contributions to the engineering sector were recognised when she was named the ‘Most Outstanding Female in Providing Engineering Solutions’ at The Business Executive’s Feminine Ghana Achievement Awards 2023.

Ishmael Mhlupheki Radebe

Operations Manager

Ishmael Radebe is a goal-driven manager with over 25 years of experience in Engineering, Project, and Construction Management. He brings extensive expertise in project planning, cost management, quality assurance, piping, plateworks, structural installation, and corporate governance. A Mechanical Engineer by profession, he is registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the Engineering Council of the United Kingdom (ECUK) as a Pr. Techni Eng.

He is also an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, a Welding Inspector, and a member of several professional bodies, including the South African Institute of Mechanical Engineering and the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (UK). Ishmael is proficient in MS Projects, Solid Edge, and SolidWorks, and has completed courses in Contract Law, Finance for Non-Financial Managers, and Project Management Techniques.

Amit Kumar Verma

Finance Manager

Amit Kumar Verma is the Finance Manager at Wayoe Engineering and Construction Limited. He possesses extensive expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, as well as cost and management accounting, budgeting, cashflow and working capital management, capital budgeting, project feasibility studies, and internal audit. Amit has played a key role in developing financial models and business plans that align strategic objectives with profitability and has successfully supervised the implementation of SAP B1, strengthening the company’s financial systems and reporting efficiency

He holds a postgraduate qualification from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) and is a Qualified Cost & Management Accountant (CMA) and an Associate Member of the Institute of Cost & Management Accountants of India (ICMA). Amit is also a Certified Management Accountant from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA, USA) and a Certified US GAAP Professional, with additional certifications from LSBA, UK, and IBMI, Germany in Financial Analysis, Project Management, Risk Management, and International Business.

Justice Allotey

HSEQ Manager

Justice Allotey is the Group HSEQ Manager and Quality & Reliability Engineer at Wayoe Engineering and Construction Limited. With over 16 years of experience in the oil and gas, mining, infrastructure, and power sectors, he is a seasoned HSSEQ professional and Reliability Engineer known for developing and implementing integrated management systems aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and API Q2 standards. Justice provides strategic leadership across all operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and a culture of continuous improvement.

He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and is pursuing the NEBOSH Level 6 International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management. Justice is an API Spec Q2 Lead Practitioner, a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001 and OHSAS 18001, and a member of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). His expertise in reliability engineering, risk management, and quality systems continues to strengthen WEC’s commitment to safety, efficiency, and performance excellence across all projects.

Dr. Stephen, a seasoned company development strategist, develops novel solutions by analyzing client satisfaction and market dynamics. WEC has grown rapidly under his leadership to become one of Africa’s dominant players in the mining and oil and gas sectors.

Justice Obeng

With over 20 years of experience, Justice Obeng is an experienced CFO and highly regarded industry professional. He has a track record of holding top financial leadership positions and transforming businesses in a variety of markets. 

He has an MBA in Finance from Manchester Business School and is a Chartered Tax Accountant from the Institute of Certified Tax Accountants in the United Kingdom. 

His accomplishments include designing a comprehensive financial reporting system to consolidate the operations of the parent company and its subsidiaries in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Angola, Mozambique, Tanzania, and South Africa, which standardized the reporting format and assisted management in assessing the actual performance of each entity and facilitating regional level comparative analysis.

Sarah is a great decision-maker who understands the value of partnering with strategic finance partners. With her expertise, WEC can continue to exceed customer expectations and achieve the goal of converting the business into a facilitator of innovation. She has a Master of Science in Industrial Finance and Investment. 

She founded the Wayoe Workers’ Wives’ Association (WWWA), an organization dedicated to educating and empowering the workers’ in the engineering and construction industries.
